From law school president to media executive (with detours through gym marketing and travel agency management), Guy’s journey is a masterclass in resilience and adaptability. After 14 years, three companies, two Mergers and Acquisitions, and being named runner up for Australia Pacific NewsMedia Executive of the Year 2018, Guy embarked on a four-year learning journey navigating working for a shonky builder and a string of dysfunctional startups – lessons that eventually led him to co-found Turner & Co with Tasch.
Today, Guy applies his generalist skills from both the corporate and startup worlds to all aspects of Turner & Co’s operations and its exclusive client portfolio. His deep experience in commercial strategy and P&L management helps clients unlock new levels of sophistication and governance. With expertise in AI software and hardware (as an NVIDIA Inception partner) and extensive knowledge of building investible businesses (securing over $2 million AUD in VC, private investment, and grants in the last three years), Guy equips clients with the tools they need to succeed.
Guy has maintained his media leadership credentials through education partnerships with ABC International Development and PACMAS (Pacific Media Assistance Scheme), training media companies in digital commercialisation across emerging markets. Beyond Turner & Co, he’s also bootstrapping a couple of SportsTech startups with high-performance co-founders – proof that his passion for experimentation never rests.
